About the Job
We’re looking for a passionate and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team.
Start Date:
- TBC.
Availability:
- Available at least 2 days per week.
- From 8:30pm to 3:30pm.
- Must also be open to accepting 2-hour services.
- Potential for more shifts for reliable candidates.
Requirements:
- Female carers only.
- Must be driving (full Australian driver’s licence).
- Own vehicle.
- Comprehensive Car Insurance (mandatory).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Valid First Aid & CPR certificates.
- Working with Children Check (WWCC).
What We’re Looking For:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Disability Support Worker.
- Experience with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE).
- Skills in manual handling and providing high-care support (highly regarded).
- Proactive approach to supporting clients to achieve goals and maintain community connections.
- Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
- Physically active and able to support regular outings, including long walks and community participation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Personal care such as showering and dressing.
- Assisting with transfer to the car, toilet, bed, etc.
- Meal preparation and domestic assistance such as laundry and home cleaning.
- Assisting with medication.
- Providing high-quality, person-centred support to NDIS clients.
- Supporting with attending appointments and engaging in social activities.
- Planning and accompanying on outings and activities.
